A made up picture book story where Early Bird Earl and Night Owl Nate must share a tree despite their differences.
This project was born when matching the prompts of 16th October 2024 from #inktober (grungy) and #peachtober (owl), creating a picture book cover and its story concept.
For the title I made an irregular looking and fun design part serif and part sans serif, part bulky and part thin, querky yet balanced lettering that would showcase the differences between the two main characters.
