The Child of The Lusiads or A Filha d'Os Lusíadas is a Young Adult historical fiction novel story idea I turned into a cover.
The story is a rewriting of one of Luís de Camões romances. I got to know more about his life while working on a biographic animation and such led me to research even deeper and this idea being born.
I haven't written the story and I'm not sure if I will ever get to write it. However, when I had to make a cover example for YA historical fiction, this book was the perfect fit since I love drawing wood texture, hair, the sea and clouds and would showcase my imagination and my research abilities by doing so.
