Originally made for the Post Wave Award over the span of a week, the illustrator must present a spread and a cover with the theme the publisher had provided - "Time for tea".
The story I came up with was a group of sibling cups' routine at tea time. From waking up inside their cupholder room, passing by their moments with their mother tea pot, their washing and drying, all the way to the time they would be put to sleep into the cupboard again.
The designs were heavily inspired by english tea sets and their clothing by the 16th to 18th nobility attire worn by the royal courts. I gave each character a primary or secondary colour for their garments to go along with the main colours - blue and gold - of the set itself.
